Our LEAD Consulting Ltd. team is proud to announce that KDS FASHION LTD has officially earned LEED Platinum certification – the highest recognition for green building practices.

In a formal program, we handed over the certificate to:

3) Respected Vice President of KDS Group, Mr. Jashim Uddin Chowdhury

We are thankful to the entire team for their outstanding support in our LEED journey over the last 12 months.

LEED certification, short for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a globally recognized program by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for designing, constructing, and operating sustainable buildings. It provides a framework of rating systems and guidelines to promote environmentally responsible practices and efficient resource use, resulting in healthier spaces with lower operational costs. The certification signifies a commitment to sustainability, with different levels (Certified, Silver, Gold, Platinum) awarded based on points earned for meeting various sustainable design criteria.

With energy-efficient lighting, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting systems, we’ve reduced the building’s energy consumption by 40% and its water use by 50%. 100% Waste (production and food) management. This isn’t just a win for us—it’s a win for the planet.

We faced challenges like providing fresh air in the production space. Also, we overcame some challenges in plantation on the rooftop, to keep the top floor cool during the hot climate. They have incorporated efficient waste management as well as a green awareness program.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of our dedicated team of KDS Fashion Ltd., as well as the support of their entire team (Compliance, Maintenance, and engineering team). Every step of the way, we worked together to turn this vision into a reality.
