Golam Rahman is LEED AP BD + C (a professional credential given by U. S. Green Building Council), and passed LEED Green Associate in May 2017. He successfully completed Masters in Environmental Science and Management from Jahangirnagar University in 2019 and has hands-on experience in green building consultancy.

He started his Green Building journey in 2016 and gained field experience in 15 ongoing projects, including commercial buildings as well as garments factories located in different places in Bangladesh, under a local consulting firm. In October 2017, he started a consultancy company of his own, LEAD Consulting Limited. He is the chief consultant and Managing Director of this company. By his consultancy, the greenest factory in Bangladesh Karupannya Rangpur Limited was LEED certified to the Platinum level in July 2020. Karupannya achieved a staggering 84 out of 100 available points. 

Achievements

Golam Rahman conducted 2-day long workshops on Green Building (LEED) certification process at Chittagong on 30th January 2017 with 50 professionals and at Dhaka on 24th November 2018 with 60 professionals from different segments of the industry. Also, he conducted LEED GA exam preparation sessions for 50 students during this time. 

Golam Rahman gained practical project experiences with projects like Alpha Clothing, Birds AJI, Bravo Apparels Ltd, Trust Knitwear Ltd., Mega Washing Ltd., Patriot Eco Apparels, Denim Processing Ltd, Amanat Shah Textile, Pinaki Group, Aman Graphics Ltd, Deva Limited and Finesse Apparels Ltd.
